Problem #1

I have a problem.

I previewed my template on my browser and this is what appeared:There are white spaces around my background.

The background image is currently set as 'no repeat'. I tried to change it to 'repeat-x' or 'repeat-y' but it turned out to be like the picture below...

Now I'm trying to fix this problem. The size of the image for my template is 900 x 600.

In the past week, I have been creating the template for my website with Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Initially, this was the template that I created:


However, I decided to modify it and here's what I have now...

Personally, I prefer the modified version as I think it looks neater. Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve it?

I found a video of Codicote on YouTube today.

Research

I was doing some research today. I realized that it is quite hard to get information about Codicote. The existing website has not been updated.

I was searching for the weather forecast for Codicote on BBC weather. Guess what have I found? Nothing. This is what appeared: No locations were found for "codicote". Please try another search term or check the spelling of the location you have entered.

Hmm... This project is going to be challenging - I have to develop a website for the people living in Codicote and the website should contain as much information as possible... but there are limited resources online.

What should I do now?

We learned about website wireframes in class today.

I have generated a simple wireframe for my website with Photoshop. Here it is...



It is just a general guide of the page structure. I might still tweak the layout.
